Sarah Larimer Reporter
I came to TBD after three and a half years at The Associated Press in Miami, where I learned how to cover a hockey game as well as what to pack when a tropical storm system is brewing. I got the chance to cover both news and sports for the AP, splitting time between press boxes and story assignments. I'll also be exploring a lot of diverse topics here at TBD and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
I studied journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and was the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Maneater. I grew up in the Midwest in a baseball-loving family that raised me to follow the Cardinals, not the Cubs. As a native Illinoisan, I generally cheer for Lincoln in the president races at Nats Park. Sorry, Teddy.
