Comment

LivingSocial, D.C. United partnership off to a lucrative, but rocky start
Comment
Earlier this week, LivingSocial and D.C. United announced a two-year, exclusive partnership, which, for most of you, simply means that you won't be seeing any Groupon deals for our local MLS club anytime soon. According to D.C. United spokesman Doug Hicks, however, the agreement "is about curating experiences and creating packages that are more than just a ticket to the game." OK, but last night's game showed they need to solve the ticket part first.

Advertising company TUN now offers a dose of deals to D.C. walkers
Comment
Can a country in a recession offer too many daily deals, discounts, and coupons? One company doesn't think so — and it's begun targeting District residents and especially college students with a new arsenal of discounts that place an emphasis on how walkable our dense city blocks are. TUN is partnering nationally with 7,500 merchants to offer 22,000 daily deals with the hopes that LivingSocial and Groupon haven't worn down your instinct to save a buck.

D.C. ranks its dining scene 6th in U.S., says LivingSocial survey
Comment
LivingSocial commissioned a survey of 4,000 people nationwide that, among other questions, asked respondents to rank their city's dining scene. But we did come first in something: our preference for vegan and vegetarian food. Woo-hoo.
