Owing to a combination of factors – time to spare, a relatively short route, and the fact that the bus was traveling the exact street I needed to be on – I was fortunate enough to experience every last stop of the X8 a few days ago.

OmniRide buses routed away from 14th Street
Some OmniRide buses will now use 15th Street instead of congested 14th Street in Washington. Passengers who take the commuter buses from the State Department weekday afternoons will be affected by the change, which will have all OmniRide buses re-routed away from 14th Street between H Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

WMATA Board ponders cutting late-night service
WMATA Board members, including federal representatives and new members from DC and Arlington, expressed a willingness to explore cutting back late-night weekend transit service at their meeting today.
