Somehow this is even weirder than that Hooters bill. Team Thomas, the defunct non-profit once run by D.C. Councilman Harry Thomas Jr., apparently was courting Walmart back in 2008 to donate thousands of plastic Easter eggs in exchange for "brand loyalty."

Team Thomas — a nonprofit organization formerly run by Ward 4 Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. — was designed to introduce District youth to sports such as tennis, softball, and golf. Hooter's wasn't part of the program description.
