If PECOTA doesn’t have anything nice to say…
Baseball Prospectus released their PECOTA numbers this week, and obviously there is a ton of data. At first I tried to just pick out some interesting bit of information, which I’ll get to later. Keep in mind that playing time adjustments haven’t been made yet. Guys who won’t be playing are in there, but that shouldn’t affect their non-counting stats. Before that, though, I want to share what really jumped out at me. PECOTA is not very sympathetic to Nationals position players.

The “Monument” sits in Loudoun
Every baseball fan cannot get enough of the game and now the fans of NorthernVirginia will have another team to cheer for. The Loudoun Hounds will call Dulles, VA home starting in 2012 with the help of Washington’s very own, Frank “Hondo” Howard. The Hounds will host their inaugural Fan Fest on February 13th at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA bringing along some well known names in baseball including Howard, Boog Powell, Bobby Richardson, and Tommy John to name a few.
