Today Vince Gray rocked the political world with the revelation that he is a huge fan of Sex and the City, going so far as to sneak off to see the second film by himself. The natural question now rippling through the blogosphere is, of course, which Sex and the City character is the chairman? The List puts this now classic parlor game to the players in D.C.’s current political scene.

1. Vince Gray: Miranda

   They’re both wonky, practical, and regarded as less glamorous than their counterparts. Even Gray’s recent haircut calls to mind Season 6, when Miranda finally got a decent hairdo.

2. Adrian Fenty: Mr. Big

   A Mr. Big if there ever was one. He has money, style, and looks; goes on spur-of-the-moment jaunts abroad; and pisses people off.

3. Michael D. Brown: Charlotte

   They’re both sweet, charming, and absolutely focused on one goal: marriage for her, statehood for him.

4. Phil Mendelson: Aidan

   Like Aidan, Mendelson plays by the rules and does the right thing, even if he lacks the dazzle of, say, a Mr. Big. Mendelson has also dealt with hair loss, a touchy subject for Aidan in Season 3.

5. Kwame Brown: Carrie

   Both are charming, likeable, and well-dressed; neither can manage their personal finances.

   No explanation necessary.
