The sporting world was shaken this week by the revelation that Washington Post sports columnist Mike Wise deliberately sent a false tweet regarding Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Though Wise says it was an attempt to illustrate a point about social media and reporting and not intended to mislead, the incident calls into question the veracity of Wise’s entire Twitter feed. A List investigation revealed a number of suspect tweets that can be neither confirmed nor denied. The List is not saying these tweets are untrue, merely that they cannot be confirmed.
