There's no lack of schmancy dining options in Bethesda (with a few cheap ones in the mix), but the city is seriously short on buffets. Happily, Bethesda buffets are marked by quality not quantity. A few notables.

  1. Guapo’s, 8130 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, 12.95

Ultra-rare Mexican lunch buffet features a taco bar and fajita station on weekdays for $12.95.

  2. Haandi Indian Restaurant, 4904 Fairmont Ave., Bethesda

This half vegetarian buffet added lamb to its offerings last year. $10.95 on weekdays, $12.95 on weekends.

  3. Hinode Japanese Restaurant, 4914 Hampden Lane, Bethesda

All-you-can-eat sushi buffet. At $12.95 on weekdays and $13.95 on weekends, it's a couple bucks cheaper than the competition.

  4. Shangri-La, 7345-A Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda

Himalayan and Nepalese classics seven days a week for just $9.99.

  5. Normandie Farm Restaurant, 10710 Falls Road, Potomac

Ok, it's technically in Potomac, but this upscale Sunday brunch buffet makes the list for its diverse offerings, including breakfast classics, lamb curry, pate, imported cheeses, and a raw bar. The $28 price tag also gets you coffee or tea.
