   No cover before 2 p.m., live music and Irish dancing, $2 green jello shooters and $5 green beer.

6. Sign of the Whale, 1825 M St. NW:

   Beat the clock specials starting at 11 a.m. and going up $1 an hour $3 Guiness and $3 Irish whiskey, green beer and Irish car bombs.

7. Star and Shamrock, 1341 H St. NE:

   Starting at 11 a.m. $1 off drafts and $5 whiskey.

   Starting at 11:30 a.m. St Patrick’s Day lunch served, $3 emerald shooters and $6 Guiness and Smithwicks.
