From our offices in downtown San Francisco, the Senior Software Engineer
will serve as a key member of our Engineering/Product Development team
lead by Greg Sherwin, a senior technology veteran of CNET Networks and
NBC Internet. The candidate will participate in the definition and
development of a leading edge, scalable consumer website. Working alongside
a small team of experienced engineers and product developers, the candidate
will be responsible for the analysis, system architecture, design, and
implementation of site features and services ranging from the back-end
to the front-end.
Ideally the Senior Software Engineer is someone who:

Qualifications:
4+ years software development experience with a focus on web applications
Fluency in Java, Spring, Hibernate (or other ORM), Spring MVC or equivalent (e.g. Struts)
Familiarity with Ant, Junit, Eclipse, Tomcat, log4j, XML
Familiarity with Javascript, CSS, and AJAX required. Lucene a plus.
A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
A good sense of humor and an ego that does not get in the way
Ability to operate independently as well as in a team
Familiarity with Agile Software Development, or a willingness to practice it
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

From our offices in downtown San Francisco, the Senior UI Developer will serve as a key member of our Product Development team lead by Greg Sherwin, a senior technology veteran of CNET Networks and NBC Internet. The candidate will participate in the definition, UI design and development of a leading edge, scalable consumer website. Working alongside a small team of experienced engineers, product developers, designers, and an information architect, the candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of the user interface supporting our web site features and services.
Ideally the Senior UI Developer is someone who:

Qualifications:
3+ years professional experience developing rich, front-end, web site user experiences
Strong skills in cross-browser Javascript/DHTML/CSS/Ajax. Extensive experience with Javascript/Ajax libraries (YUI preferred).
Experience prototyping/developing interactive design (using tools such as Javascript, Flex/Flash, etc.)
Experience plugging into a JSP/JSTL framework. Knowledge of SQL and/or Java preferred.
